Due to the COVID-19 virus, The Ian Potter Foundation has instituted a series of operational protocols for the coming weeks and months to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and the organisations and individuals with which we work. These protocols will remain in place until further notice.
From Monday 23 March, our office will be operational between 10 am and 4 pm Monday to Friday to receive general enquiries by phone or email only.
Please refer to our latest announcement regarding grantseeker enquiries before contacting us. Where enquiries need to be referred to specific staff members, messages will be forwarded to staff for them to reply by phone or email as necessary.
From Monday 23 March, all staff will be working remotely and available by email during normal business hours.
From Monday 23 March, there will be no meetings with external parties held at either our office nor will staff meet externally at other organisations. Our staff will organise all required meetings via Zoom (video conferencing). Any external participants can join Zoom meetings via the internet or telephone, they do not need a Zoom account or any special equipment.
Business travel bans
There are travel bans in place for both domestic and international travel for all staff.
No domestic travel will be undertaken by staff from COB Wednesday 18 March until further notice.
No international travel will be undertaken by staff effective immediately until further notice.
All relevant self-quarantine requirements as stipulated by the Commonwealth government will be adhered to as required by our staff.
Round 2, 2020
Funding rounds 2 and 3 this year will not open. For the remainder of 2020, the Foundation will consider grant applications by invitation only.
Round 1, 2021
This round will open as planned in late October 2020 for funding commencing April 2021. We will advise in late August which program areas will be open for EOIs/Applications in this round.
We expect the usual EOI/applications processes will resume in Round 1, 2021.
We will provide a further update in late August 2020.
We encourage all our colleagues in the not-for-profit and philanthropic sectors to stay safe, follow all government advice and ensure you continue to practice safe hygiene at all times.
