Powering up the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest

This grant supports staff salaries for positions integral to the success of the New Daintree Native Nursery allowing it to grow more than 10 x as many seedlings as at present, producing one million trees rainforest within 10 years to restore and preserve at greater rates than ever before. The New Nursery Manager, staff and an army of volunteers are essential to achieve all of this.

Development of sustainable biofertilisers applications to combat eutrophication

This grant supports the development of sustainable bio-fertiliser applications to reduce the environmental footprint of agriculture. These applications will boost the efficiency of nutrient delivery whilst minimising energy and water needs for production.

This is a collaborative project with Griffith University and the University of Queensland bringing together the research strengths of the two institutions into one shared project with a single goal of developing a strong evidence base for the use of biofertilisers over their synthetic counterparts.

Emerging Producer XChange and Professional Development Program

This grant will support a mentorship program embedded in two leading multidisciplinary arts organisations, Metro Arts (Qld) and The Mill (SA), for four emerging producers over a two-year period. The program will include a 10-month paid internship for all participants, attendance at a three-day producing boot-camp intensive in Brisbane, mentored attendance at PAC Australia’s PAX Conference, and at one Australian Performing Arts Market Gathering, and attendance at Adelaide Fringe.
