This grant will enable AYCC to build the skills and confidence of young people in regional areas and empower them to lead campaigns that transition Australia to 100% renewable energy. Stepping Stones To School will improve collaboration between early years services and schools working with vulnerable families to access additional supports and reducing barriers to school readiness.

"Mentoring Matters" Vocational Exchange

This grant will enable the development of a Vocational Mentoring Exchange in the Inner North region of Melbourne. Vocational mentors will be recruited, screened, trained, matched with mentees and provided ongoing support to work with socially disadvantaged VCAL students in a number of Inner North schools.

TAFE options for remote community schools.

This grant will enable the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal to explore enabling remote schools to deliver TAFE qualifications and engage with local industry employment pathways.

The project will be implemented at the Wiluna Remote Community School in Western Australia. FRRR will review, document and evaluate the program and then disseminate via their networks including other remote community stakeholders.

The Democratisation of Science Education

Cool Australia is a national web-based provider of environment and sustainability curriculum and teaching resources. This grant will enable Cool Australia to collaborate with leading environmental non-government organisations including ClimateWorks, EarthWatch and the Australian Data Science Education Institute, to create curriculum resources from evidence-based research findings particularly to improve climate change knowledge.

Story Hubs

The aim of this project is to pilot a new outreach model with satellite sites called Story Hubs. Story Hubs are co-created creative spaces for children and young people designed and developed with schools and communities in their own environment. 100 Story Building would provide support across three years for the design of the site and program, implementation, professional learning program and co-facilitation. By the end of the three years, each site would be self-sustaining but also part of a broader network.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for Children in Out of Home Care in Victoria

This grant will enable United Way Australia (UWA) to continue delivering the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL) to children living in Out of Home Care (OoHC) in Victoria aged 0-5 years and expand the number of children engaged from 300 to 800 children. The Dolly Parton Imagination Library delivers monthly books to the child, accompanied by early learning resources for the parent/carer.

ARTS:LIVE Early Years -- An innovative digital arts learning platform

This grant will enable The Song Room to develop and deliver an online arts teaching and learning solution for early childhood practitioners, modelled on their highly successful ARTS:LIVE platform and framework. The resources will support early childhood practitioners and parents to use creativity and the arts to improve early literacy and school readiness.

eBeacon - developing an innovative online platform to revolutionise school education across Australia

The aim of the eBeacon model is to improve career aspirations and pathways for disadvantaged young people in Australia through an online interactive platform of resources and virtual mentoring program which connects students to industry mentors. This grant will enable Beacon to build on this existing eBeacon model to improve its effectiveness and increase its overall reach and impact supporting more young Australians from 2017-2020.
