There is a continuing concern that women are under-represented in science and that this is not just due to current career glass ceilings but also to girls not choosing to study STEM subjects at high school and university. So, how do we solve the problem of getting girls interested in STEM?
In celebration of Science Week, the Foundation has drawn together three case studies of recent Science grants providing opportunities for early career researchers, in the form of fellowships and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
These case studies also focus on environmental science research, an area where we believe particular emphasis is needed.
Due to significant forward commitments, grant applications in Science, Environment & Conservation and the Arts will not open for Round 2, 2016.
Changes have recently been made to the funding objectives for the Science program area . These new objectives now apply and need to be met for all grant applications from Funding Round 1 (2016).
